BIGNEWS 

* 1919 ­ the new release
This year, the day after Halloween 2008 will be 11/1/1919Šat least
musically. 1919 will feature 15 tracks of newly composed music which appear
in as well as are inspired by the off-off B¹way play Oh, Those Beautiful
Weimar Girls,
which opens November 15. (More info, see next bullet.) For a sneak preview,

iTunes, and a lot of other online venues.

* Oh, Those Beautiful Weimar Girls
Featuring music by Jon Gilbert Leavitt. The play (which takes place in
post-WWI Berlin and highlights dance Anita Berber and the decadence that was
Weimar-era Germany) will run from November 15-December 21, 2008 at the
CSV (Clemente Soto Velez Performing Arts Center), 107 Suffolk Street (betw.
Delancey and Rivington), New York, NY. For information and tickets

Stage Theatre Company with additional support from TDF (Theatre Development
Fund).

* Greenagers
Some of Jon¹s instrumentals are featured in the new promotional film
³Greenagers,² by the Goethe-Institut. Filmed in Germany under director
Marcus Sporkmann (TakeWest Medienproduktion), the film will be distributed
by the Goethe-Institut North America among academic and cultural
institutions and schools throughout the U.S. and Canada.

* Tying the Knot
You¹ll be seeing more of JGLsongs on TheKnot.com, the leading
wedding/commitment and event website, as Jon hits hard the market for
originally commissioned music for weddings and events.

* Art for art¹s sake
JGLsongs LLC is now a part of the New York Production House ­ an
international collective of services through __Ist Artist Resource Group and
featuring collective artists including visual/fine arts artist Jonathan
Wagner and Grammy-winning DJ Marley Marl and the Juice Crew. Online at

* In progress...
Production continues on the upcoming release of Kevin Hannan¹s ³Wounds in
the Wires,² as well as Jon¹s 2009 slated ³pridetwothousandnine,² an upcoming
documentary project and stage musical. Stay tuned.
