- In "NewsWrap": "Stone the Gays" Brunei is back in the news with the withdrawal by singer/songwriter John Legend from a pre-Grammys party in his honor at the Sultan of Brunei-owned Beverly Hills Hotel… U.S. President Barack Obama's 2016 budget includes a proposal to guarantee Social Security benefits for all legally married same-gender couples, even if they live in a state that doesn't recognize their marriage — like Michigan, which at least now recognizes gay and lesbian couples who married in the state during a brief period late last year when they could… queer-supportive Denver, Colorado Mayor Michael Hancock cancels his appearance at the 27th annual National LGBTQ Task Force Creating Change Conference in his city after activists storm the stage to protest the Denver Police shooting death of transgender Latina teen Jessie Hernandez, but out Houston, Texas Mayor Annise Parker is named the best city leader in America… a high-strung Irishman opposed to marriage equality defines "laughingstock" during a TV3 Ireland "The Peoples Debate" broadcast [with the comments of Cork's MICHAEL O’LEARY]… and more LGBT news from around the world (produced by STEVE PRIDE, written by GREG GORDON, and reported this week by CHRISANNE EASTWOOD and MICHAEL LEBEAU) + + Brief music and comments by out U.K. singer/songwriter SAM SMITH about winning his 4 major Grammy Awards on February 8th.

- BRITISH evangelical Christians got a big surprise this week when one of their best-known campaigners came out as a lesbian. In an interview with RUTH GLEDHILL of "Christian Today", former member of the Church of England's Archbishops' Council JAYNE OZANNE shared the story of her journey from the closet to her new job as director of the LGBT lobbying group Accepting Evangelicals (with intro/outro music from "Come Out and Go Forth" by MARSHA STEVENS).
