- In "NewsWrap": With a new law punishing "aggravated homosexuality" with life in prison, Gambia joins notorious fellow African nations Uganda and Nigeria as one of the most horrific places for LGBT people on the continent, while LGBT Iraqis caught between forces of the Islamic State and pro-government Muslim militia face "imminent risk of death”… new actions this week open civil marriage to same-gender couples in South Carolina and Montana… country music stars TY HENDRON and BILLY GILMAN come out separately on the same day (with snippets of Hendron's "Lies I Told Myself" and his comments to "Entertainment Tonight", and of Gilman's "Say You Will" and his online video comments)… "Simpsons" co-creator Sam Simon saves Benjy the gay Irish bull from becoming "a sandwich”… and more LGBT news from around the world (produced by STEVE PRIDE, written by GREG GORDON, and reported this week by MICHAEL LEBEAU & GREG GORDON).

- Raped … beaten … stoned … burned … murdered … some even dismembered. Hundreds of transpeople are assaulted and killed every year. They were memorialized at events around the world for the 16th annual International Transgender Day of Remembrance on November 20th. Transgender Europe's Trans Murder Monitoring Project documented 226 deaths this year – with the caveat that anti-trans hate crimes are drastically underreported. Stemming the tide of violence has been the primary focus for MINNEAPOLIS, MINNESOTA African American trans activist and poet ANDREA JENKINS. She discussed her work, and shared a poem ("Eighteen"), with This Way Out correspondent DIXIE TREICHEL (from "Fresh Fruit" on KFAI-FM/Minneapolis-St. Paul).

- "SAPPHIC NOMADS" KATIE COOK & MAGGIE YOUNG are adventurers, partners, storytellers and filmmakers. They quit their jobs to travel the globe for a year, looking for LGBT communities they found along the way, in a grand effort to educate themselves and others about what it's like to be LGBT.  They've sent us "audio postcards" from Samoa, Mongolia, Nepal, and Kyrgyzstan.
