A filmmaker documents the United States of Gore Vidal;
"Little Monsters" and their parents "heal" and "come around";
A mob lynches a gay man in Ghana and hunts for his boyfriend,
Luxembourg's Parliament leans toward marriage equality, NOM takes on
Oregon after record fines in Maine, a religiously-weakened ENDA draws
U.S. activists' fire, a Peruvian Congressman comes out, and more news

-
 In "NewsWrap": A mob breaks into the home of a gay man in Ghana, strips
 him, and lynches him – and reportedly wants to do the same thing to his
 boyfriend, who barely escapes the same fate… Luxembourg appears poised
to be the next country in Europe to open civil marriage to same-gender
couples… the anti-LGBT National Organization for Marriage asks U.S.
Supreme Court Justice Anthony Kennedy to stop the marriages of lesbian
and gay couples in Oregon, while Maine levies the largest ethics fine in
 state history against the group for violating election campaign laws
during the 2009 effort to repeal Maine's marriage equality law… several
national U.S. LGBT advocacy groups express opposition to the current
incarnation of ENDA, which would federally ban workplace bias based on
sexual orientation and gender identity, because of its overly broad
religious exemptions [with brief comments by L.A. LGBT Center CEO LORRI
JEAN]… Carlos Bruce makes history as Peru's first out lawmaker… and more
 LGBT news from around the world (produced by STEVE PRIDE, written by
GREG GORDON, and reported this week by NATALIE PEOPLES and JASON
PROCTOR).

- The Lady Gaga generation is well on its way, and
"This Way Out" Queer Life and Literature Commentator JANET MASON found
their voices, along with guidance for the people who are raising them:
"HEAL THIS WAY: A Love Story”, written by "Little Monsters" and
photographed by Tracey B. Wilson (Hot Glue Press), and "COMING AROUND:
PARENTING LESBIAN, GAY AND TRANSGENDER KIDS”, written by Anne Dohrenwend
 (New Horizon Press) (with brief intro music from "Born This Way" by
LADY GAGA).

- His "The United States
 of Amnesia" was such a good book title that a new film about the
inimitable GORE VIDAL is using it, too. "This Way Out's" STEVE PRIDE
chats with documentarian NICHOLAS WRATHALL about "GORE VIDAL: UNITED
STATES OF AMNESIA" (intro'd by snippets from a 2008 interview with Vidal
 by AMY GOODMAN on "Democracy Now!").
