An award-winning film celebrates gay seniors' gusto;
Peter and the pastor pander to gay sex paranoia;
Uganda's unending nightmare worsens, Kiev skinheads crash a gay night
spot, there's a Rocky Mountain marriage mash-up and other nuptials
news from Utah, Indiana and Wisconsin, Ireland sets the date for
a marriage equality referendum, and more LGBT news

-
In "NewsWrap": Ugandan President Yoweri Museveni blames reduced Western
aid over the draconian "Anti-Homosexuality Law" for having to raise
taxes, which LGBT activists fear will add even more fuel to the
homophobic fire in the country… a bouncer at Kiev's Pamada Club rebuffs
an attempt by neo-Nazi skinheads to invade the gay nightspot in the
Ukrainian capital after its mayor's cancellation of a Pride parade over
safety concerns… Colorado is the latest state to have its ban on civil
marriage for same-gender couples declared federally unconstitutional,
while rogue county clerks lead by Boulder's Hillary Hall issue licenses
to lesbian and gay couples despite being ordered not to by the state
Attorney General… Utah officials announce a direct challenge to the U.S.
Supreme Court of the appeals court ruling overturning that state's ban,
Indiana's governor orders state officials not to recognize the legal
marriages of same-gender couples, and Wisconsin's Attorney General
formally challenges a district court ruling striking down his state's
ban in a federal appeals court… Irish Prime Minister Enda Kenny
officially announces that a planned national referendum on marriage
equality will be held within the first 4 months of 2015… a landmark
ruling by France's top administrative court clears the way for the
marriage of an immigrant gay Senegalese man to his French partner… and
more LGBT news from around the world (produced by STEVE PRIDE, written
by GREG GORDON, and reported this week by MICHELLE-MARIE GILKESON and
WENZEL JONES).

- Most mainline Christian denominations are moving
up the stairway to heaven hand-in-hand with their LGBT adherents and
allies, but holier-than-thou homophobes still hijack the headlines.
PETER LABARBERA started making anti-homosexuality campaigning his
stock-in-trade with other conservative organizations long before his own
Americans for Truth About Homosexuality became a full-time operation in
2006. Last year it made the U.S. Southern Poverty Law Center's list of
hate groups, and LaBarbera was arrested in Canada for distributing
graphic anti-homosexual materials. When we last encountered HARLEM, NEW
YORK PASTOR JAMES DAVID MANNING, his ALL THE LAND ANOINTED HOLY church
was being picketed for its signs calling for LGBT people to be stoned to
death. Manning hosted LaBarbera on his radio show recently (first
reported by Right Wing Watch) to talk about obsession, pandering and
fear -- albeit not their own (with intro/outro music from "Homophobia"
by CHUMBAWAMBA).

- Is "gay senior" an oxymoron? Not according to
an award-winning film called "BEFORE YOU KNOW IT." "This Way Out"
Entertainment Correspondent STEVE PRIDE chats with documentarian P J
RAVAL and his three featured subjects, TYLER, DENNIS, and ROBERT (with
intro music from "Old Friends" by SIMON & GARFUNKLE).
