Continuing an annual year-ending program tradition, "This Way Out's"
multi-award-winning entertainment reporter STEVE PRIDE recalls some of
the LGBT moving images that moved him most during the past 12 months in
the 2013 edition of "PRIDE ON SCREEN". Before counting down his list of
the top ten LGBT movies on the big screen in 2013, Steve provides a
brief history of queer representations on the Silver Screen through the
1970s with clips from "VICTIM", "THE CHILDREN'S HOUR", "ADVISE &
CONSENT", "THE DETECTIVE", "THE BOYS IN THE BAND", "CABARET", "THE
RITZ", and "MAKING LOVE". He singles out "WHATEVER THIS IS" (with a
clip) and "ORANGE IS THE NEW BLACK" (with a clip and comments by star
TAYLOR SCHILLING) as 2013's best queer offerings on the small screen.
And with clips and comments by their makers, Steve reviews his picks for
the Top 10 LGBT moving images on the big screen in 2013 - sometimes
needing English translations: "Out In The Dark" (with a clip and
comments by director/co-writer MICHAEL MAYER), "I'm So Excited" (with a
clip and comments by writer/director PEDRO ALMODOVAR), "Call Me Kuchu"
(with a clip and comments by one of the gay activists featured in the
documentary, JOHN "LONG JONES" WAMBERE), and "YOSSI" (with a translated
clip and comments by director EYTAN FOX).

- "TWO" Website promo (2013 sound collage produced by LUCIA CHAPPELLE).

The rest of Steve's picks for the Top 10 LGBT moving images on the big
screen in 2013: "DALLAS BUYERS CLUB" (with a clip and comments by actor
JARED LETO), "GOD LOVES UGANDA" (with a clip and comments by director
ROGER ROSS WILLIAMS), "CONCUSSION" (with a clip and comments by director
ROSE TROCHE), "KILL YOUR DARLINGS" (with a clip and comments by
director/co-writer JOHN KROKIDAS and co-writer AUSTIN BUNN), "I DO"
(with a clip and comments by writer/star DAVID W. ROSS), AND "PIT STOP"
(with a clip and comments by director/co-writer YEN TAN).
