Some words and music from bi indie icon Ani DiFranco:
How she got into the music biz and her early career —
including gigs in London at age 19 that first billed her as "Arne" —
why she remains fiercely independent, the challenges of touring, and
the "cameo" by legendary singer/songwriter Pete Seeger
on her 17th studio album, "Which Side Are You On?"
(includes the title track and "Amendment" from that album)

- SOME WORDS AND MUSIC FROM BI INDIE ICON ANI DIFRANCO: Ani DiFranco is a
Grammy Award-winning singer, guitarist, poet, and songwriter. She's
also an outspoken bisexual feminist who's vocally supported numerous
social justice and environmental causes. DiFranco was one of the first
independent musicians to create her own record label – Righteous Babe – a
move that's given her substantial creative freedom. Her most recent
studio album, "WHICH SIDE ARE YOU ON?", is her seventeenth. When she had
gigs in the U.K. last year, DiFranco sat down for a chat about her
musical life and career with ROSIE WILBY on Resonance-FM's "Out In South
London" (with brief intro music from "IN OR OUT" from 1992's
"Imperfectly", and "AMENDMENT" and the title cut featuring Pete Seeger
from "Which Side Are You On?").
