What entertainer Leslie Jordan's mother doesn't want you to know;
A Russian "Rainbow Minute" that definitely adds up;
Uruguay prepares for marriage equality, a judge won't register
a gay Paraguay couple's legal Argentine wedding, Gambia's President
calls gays satanic, Nepal's Blue Diamonds are in the rough, civil
unions spring from Arizona's "liberal oasis", and more global LGBT news

- In "NewsWrap": Uruguay appears to be a few months away from being the
latest country to open civil marriage to lesbian and gay couples, but a
judge in Paraguay refuses to register a gay couple's legal Argentine
marriage, while the city of Bisbee, Arizona prepares to fight the state
over its civil unions ordinance... Gambian President Yahya Jammeh once
again almost literally tells gays and lesbians to drop dead, while a
government office in Nepal is apparently bent on destroying the
country's pioneering 12-year-old LGBT Blue Diamond Society... activists
in St. Petersburg, Russia's second-largest city, plan a ban-defying
Pride event, while a Brazilian import charges fans of his adopted St.
Petersburg football team with racism and homophobia... and more LGBT
news from around the world (written by GREG GORDON, produced by STEVE
PRIDE, and reported this week by WENZEL JONES and CAROLE MEYERS).

- "RUSSIAN MATHEMATICIAN SOFIA KOVALEVSKAYAIS" is profiled in this
"RAINBOW MINUTE" (produced at WRIR-FM in Richmond, Virginia by JUDD
PROCTOR & BRIAN BURNS and read by TONYA UTKINA).

- LESLIE JORDAN packs a load of talent and personality into his
4-foot-11-inch frame. He's a scene-stealing Emmy winner with prominent
roles on TV shows like "Will and Grace," "Sordid Lives," "Ally McBeal"
and "Star Trek: Voyager." Those credits, and his featured role in the
Oscar-winning movie "The Help", have made Jordan a familiar face around
the world. But the Chattanooga, Tennessee-born actor is also a natural
storyteller. He toured some of his tales in a one-man show in the U.S.
called "My Trip Down the Pink Carpet" that also had a successful run in
London's West End in 2011. Jordan returned to the British capital last
month with a new autobiographical slice of life called "FRUIT FLY",
which he chatted up with ROSIE WILBY on her Resonance-FM "Out in South
London" radio show...

- "Everybody Has To Have A Mother" performed by THE NEW MISS ALICE STONE
 LADIES SOCIETY ORCHESTRA.
