- In "NewsWrap": As many as 200 men are arrested for "conduct against public morals" at a raid of a private alleged "gay wedding" party in Bahrain... homophobic hate crimes soar in Scotland and seem to have also increased in London... India's Supreme Court schedules a final hearing for April 19th for all 19 submissions in a challenge to the Delhi High Court's ruling overturning the British colonial era law criminalizing private adult consensual adult same-gender sex... the Hawai'i House of Representatives passes a civil unions bill that now appears headed for the governor's promised signature, while Israel's Interior Ministry reverses a deportation order for the German partner of a gay man killed during the Tel Aviv LGBT Center shooting rampage... the Pentagon releases more details about the implementation of the repeal of Don't Ask Don't Tell... a seven-year-old Los Angeles boy protests unequal treatment of gay people with charitable donations to two LGBT advocacy groups... a pair of love-struck male British spider monkeys named for a music superstar and his beau get a special Valentine's Day treat... and more LGBT news from around the world (written by GREG GORDON and reported this week by ROBERT LEBLANC and JOHN TORRES).

- With entertainment awards season in full bloom, the WRITERS GUILD OF AMERICA's show demonstrated once again that we've come a long way since Ellen got her "Puppy". The evening's co-hosts, “Modern Family's” “Mitchell and Cameron“, JESSE TYLER FERGUSON and ERIC STONESTREET, opened the festivities in song with an observation about the hottest key to show business success: “Write It Gay“.

- As real as the weight of brutal discrimination is in the lives of transgender and gender non-conforming people, the world of officialdom -- and even the general public -- often demands tangible proof of bias in action. A groundbreaking study entitled "INJUSTICE AT EVERY TURN" gives policy makers, health care providers, educators, and law enforcement agencies the kind of documentation they need to serve the transgender community. "This Way Out" correspondent DIXIE TREICHEL [from "Fresh Fruit" on KFAI-FM/Minneapolis-St. Paul, Minnesota] spoke with three of the activists who introduced the study last week at the NATIONAL GAY AND LESBIAN TASK FORCE's Creating Change conference in MINNEAPOLIS, MINNESOTA: MARA KEISLING of the NATIONAL CENTER FOR TRANSGENDER EQUALITY; SAVANNAH, GEORGIA transwoman JA'BRIEL WALTHOUR; and Minneapolis area transman MARCUS WATERBURY.

- The February 11th release of the first track from equality advocate and Grammy Award-winner LADY GAGA's forthcoming album became the fast-selling single in the history of iTunes, topping the charts in 21 of the 23 countries where the music service is available. "BORN THIS WAY" is already being called "a new gay anthem".
