  A holiday season programming reminder:
There won't be a "NewsWrap" segment on the next two "This Way Out" shows to be distributed on December 26, 2011; and on January 2, 2012.
Special features will fill each of those new programs.

- In "NewsWrap": The United Nations Human Rights Council releases a first-ever comprehensive report detailing human rights abuses against sexual minorities around the world, with recommendations to the UN's 193 member states on how to better protect them... government leaders in Nigeria, Ghana and Uganda say they'll never support decriminalizing homosexuality, but Malawi's Justice Minister says such laws there need to be reviewed because they might not reflect "public opinion"... a petition opposing "no promo homo" laws in Russia bears almost a quarter million signatures from around the world... Australian Finance Minister Penny Wong and her longtime partner Sophie Allouache welcome baby Alexandra into the world... LGBT activists in the Philippines serenade the country's Catholic Bishops Conference with rights-promoting Christmas carols, while first- and second-graders in Traverse City, Michigan can once again "don" their "gay apparel"... and more LGBT news from around the world (written by GREG GORDON, produced by STEVE PRIDE, and reported this week by SHERI LUNN and GARY SHAW).

- A "RAINBOW MINUTE" collection compiles some NOTABLE "COMING OUTS" IN 2011 (produced by JUDD PROCTOR & BRIAN BURNS at WRIR-FM in Richmond, Virginia and read by ROBERT FRIEDLINE) + "HARK THE HERALD FAERIES SHOUT" performed by the GAY LIBERATION QUIRE OF SYDNEY.

- Openly-gay JACK SANDERSON wanted to find out first-hand what it’s like to be Father Christmas, and – with director Jeff Myers – he ended up starring in the hit documentary "BECOMING SANTA." "This Way Out's" VASH BODDIE won't say whether he sat on Santa Jack's lap, but he did get the interview he wanted for Christmas.

- A Bonus "RAINBOW MINUTE" connects "MRS. CLAUS & MISS BATES" (produced by JUDD PROCTOR & BRIAN BURNS at WRIR-FM in Richmond, Virginia and read by DANIELA WYATT).

- "HAPPY WHATEVER YOU'RE HAVING" [excerpt] performed by THE THERAPY SISTERS.
