Delaware's governor is expected to ring civil unions bells, the GOP
is AWOL for a pro-DOMA hearing, partnerships dawn in Liechtenstein
and Ireland, Britain may lift its blood donor ban of gay men --
who've been celibate for at least 10 years -- and more global LGBT news

- In "NewsWrap": Delaware is on the verge of becoming the 8th U.S. state to offer civil unions or domestic partnerships to same-gender couples... a subcommittee of the Republican-led House of Representatives holds a hearing to "defend marriage," while a bill to allow U.S. lesbians and gay men to sponsor their foreign partners for legal residency is introduced in both houses of Congress... Liechtenstein's Parliament passes a registered partnership law that will take effect in September, while gay and lesbian couples begin registering their civil partnerships in Ireland, and a marriage equality bill is introduced in Uruguay's Parliament... British officials will reportedly lift the outright ban on gay men donating blood, but will require donors to have been celibate for at least 10 years... right-wing commentators get their shorts in a bunch over a young boy's neon pink-painted toenails... and more LGBT news from around the world (written by GREG GORDON, produced by STEVE PRIDE, and reported this week by CHRISTOPHER GAAL and JOHN TORRES).

- Kuala Lumpur-based internet video journalist ZAN AZLEE finds MALAYSIA's Muslim LGBT people searching for answers and the chance to live authentic lives.

- ABBY DEES is a civil rights attorney and editor for St. Lynn’s Press who has been actively involved in lesbian, gay and bisexual rights and awareness work for 25 years. She is closely involved with the Los Angeles chapters of the Human Rights Campaign and the Trevor Project (LGBTQ teen suicide prevention), and the San Francisco office of the National Center for Lesbian Rights. She's also the author of "QUEER QUESTIONS STRAIGHT TALK: 108 FRANK, PROVOCATIVE QUESTIONS IT'S OK TO ASK YOUR LESBIAN, GAY OR BI LOVED ONE" -- and "This Way Out’s" STEVE PRIDE had a few more questions for her.
