Laughs, hope, and politics go on the record in the "Audiofile";
A "Dreamgirl" leads other divas in song against AIDS;
The UN deletes gays and lesbians from a resolution against unjustified
executions, Aussie MPs debate marriage equality, the US 9th Circuit
plans Prop 8 hearings, there's a last-ditch effort for DADT repeal as
key GOP Senators may vote to block a McCain fili-bluster, and more news

- In "NewsWrap": The UN General Assembly approves a resolution against unjustified executions of marginalized people, but an amendment strips gays and lesbians from the specifically-named victim categories... the shooting of a gay teenager by two Brazilian army officers mars an otherwise-festive Pride parade in Rio de Janeiro... a marriage equality bill is debated in the Australian parliament... the U.S. Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals announces that oral arguments on the federal constitutionality of California's marriage equality-banning Proposition 8 will be heard on December 6th, but those hearings could be delayed pending the outcome of the still-unresolved race for state Attorney General... U.S. Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid says he'll push for a vote on the Don't Ask Don't Tell repeal-inclusive annual defense spending bill in the upcoming lame duck session, and a few key GOP Senators will apparently support most Democrats to stop a threatened filibuster by Arizona's John McCain... and more LGBT news from around the world (written by GREG GORDON, and reported this week by RICK WATTS and JOHN TORRES).

- SHERYL LEE RALPH started her career at full speed in 1982 as "Deena Jones" in the original Broadway cast of "Dreamgirls". She's been in demand ever since as both an actress and singer. But it's her role as an AIDS activist of which she is most proud. In 1990 she created "Divas Simply Singing!" as a loving memorial to the many friends she had lost to HIV/AIDS. For 20 consecutive years, the diva and her friends have come together to raise their voices in song and commitment to HIV/AIDS awareness and prevention. "This Way Out's" STEVE PRIDE caught up with Ms. Ralph at the recent Out & Equal Workplace Summit in Los Angeles for a chat about her DIVA FOUNDATION.

- These three gay and lesbian recording artists are already veteran performers. But they're each trying something a bit different on their latest CDs, making for a very adventurous "AUDIOFILE" (with excerpts from "Best Kiss" and "Unstoppable" from KRISTIE STREMEL's "COLOR OF STARS"; "The Beautiful People" and "Goodbye New Orleans" from STEVEN GELLMAN's "PEACEFUL WORLD"; and "Evil" and "Ready or Not" from KRISTIAN HOFFMAN's "FOP"; with comments by each artist, hosted by JD DOYLE & CHRIS WILSON, and written and produced with CHRISTOPHER DAVID TRENTHAM).
