"THIS WAY OUT: the international lesbian & gay radio magazine
Program #1,074 distributed 10/27/08
(hosted this week by Greg Gordon and produced with Lucia Chappelle)
Noah's story "Arc" jumps the broom to the big screen;
Lea DeLaria jazzes it up and jokes around;
Razor thin margins mark U.S. marriage rights campaigns, a Russian city's reversal ruins a lesbigay rights rally, Krakow can't tolerate Kaczynski and queers on the same day, a Malaysian fatwa bans butch women and lesbian sex, British lesbians can get fertile, and more news

- In "NewsWrap": It's down to the wire for anti-lesbigay November 4th ballot initiatives in California, Arizona, Florida, and Arkansas... LGBT celebrations are each first approved, then banned, in Tambov, Russia and Krakow, Poland, while Malaysia's leading Islamic body bans "masculine" conduct and lesbian sex for female Muslims, but Britain's House of Commons approves legislation giving lesbians equal access to fertility treatment... a kennel owner in Sweden loses her appeal of an anti-discrimination ruling for refusing to sell a puppy to a lesbian... and other LGBT news from around the world  (written by GREG GORDON, and reported this week by DONNA-ANN WARD and LEIGH MOORE).

– Notoriously open lesbian comic LEA DELARIA became famous doing stand up, then movies, then Broadway, then jazz ... and now she's doing all of the above.  In anticipation of her doing Australia, she chatted with This Way Out Brisbane correspondent John Frame about her performing life, and about - of all people-- Sarah Palin  (with brief intro music from "Call Me" performed by LEA DELARIA).

- Nearly two years after it filmed its last episode, "NOAH’S ARC," the landmark LOGO Network TV series, is hitting the big screen as a feature length film.  "NOAH’S ARC: JUMPING THE BROOM" brings the ensemble cast back together for Noah’s Martha’s Vineyard wedding.  This Way Out’s STEVE PRIDE boarded the Arc to chat with Noah himself, DARRYL STEPHENS, about the series and the film  (with a preview clip, and brief music from the movie).
