If you're in NY for the Outmusic Awards, and will be in Brooklyn for the house concert on Thursday (6/8) for OMMembers and friends, then come out a little earlier...
   
  June 8, 2006 - Downtown Brooklyn, NY
   
  Come celebrate BROOKLYN PRIDE at an official reception by the Office of Borough President Marty Markowitz at Borough Hall at 6:15 PM featuring the Borough President himself, and special guests NYC out council member Christine Quinn, the Lambda Independent Democrats, lots of other NY queer personalities and politicos, and featuring a performance by 2001 Outmusic Award winner and 2004 nominee (and Brooklynite) Jon Gilbert Leavitt. 
   
  Brooklyn Borough Hall is at 209 Joralemon Street at Court Street, right in downtown Brooklyn at the Borough Hall subway station (2, 3, 4, 5, N, R, W) or Jay Street-Borough Hall (A, C, F). This reception is free and open to the public. (Make sure you have a picture ID on hand, it's a government building. Die-hard Manhattanites do not need a valid passport to enter Brooklyn.)
