                   ========================================
                          THIS WAY OUT
               the international gay & lesbian radio magazine
                    Program #954 - the week of 7/10/06
         (hosted by Greg Gordon and produced with Lucia Chappelle)
            The queer music community pays OMA-ge to its best;
    Marriage equality does not appeal to New York and Georgia justices,
     a cautious response greets the new Czech Republic partnership law,
 Pride marches from Piccadilly Circus to Plaza Venezuela, corporations and
  politicians feast on Toronto's fest, Athens and Valencia parades promote
family values, what's "Effen" and fruity and read all over? plus more news

* In "NewsWrap": In a split decision, the New York Court of Appeals decides
that gay and lesbian couples should be denied marriage equality because they
can only have children by choice, while Georgia's Supreme Court upholds that
state's voter-approved constitutional ban on same gender marriage... the first
legal same gender unions in Central Europe are held in registry offices across
the Czech Republic... LGBT Pride is celebrated in London, Caracas, Dublin,
Rome, Turin, Toronto, Lisbon, Athens, Zwolle, and Valencia... a local gay night
spot in Chicago "salutes" the White Sox's anti-gay-ranting baseball manager with
the "Effen Ozzie Guillen-tini"... and more GLBT news from around the world
(written by GREG GORDON and reported this week by KATHY SANCHEZ and CHARLS HALL).

* Variety was the spice of this year's OUTMUSIC AWARDS gala in New York City.
 JD DOYLE, CHRIS WILSON and CHRISTOPHER DAVID TRENTHAM were on the scene to
capture the sounds that celebrated the winning songs in this special expanded
report from the "AUDIOFILE" (featuring TOM WILSON-WEINBERG, MARK WEIGLE, NEDRA
JOHNSON, KEVIN CAHOON, MELISSA FOGARTY, DAVID DEL TREDICI, THOMAS C. MOORE,
MARSHA STEVENS-PINO, CHRISTIAN ANDREASON, CAZWELL, GIRLYMAN, TRIPLE CRÈME, THE
SAN FRANCISCO GAY MENS CHORUS, TOSHI REAGON, ROBERT URBAN, and JEN FOSTER)
